The plugin uses the OpenAI API to generate the alt text, using the API key that you provide. 

The default or user inputted prompt, along with the image and any selected context information, is sent each time alt text is generated.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the plugin files to the `/wp-content/plugins/ai-image-alt-text` directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
3. Go to **AI Alt Text > Settings** to configure your OpenAI API key and generation preferences.
4. Use the **Bulk Generate** feature from the **Dashboard** or manually trigger alt text for individual images from the Media Library.
