== Getting Started ==

= Installation =

1. In your admin panel, go to Appearance -> Themes and click the Add New button.
2. Click Upload and Choose File, then select the theme's .zip file. Click Install Now.
3. Click Activate to use your new theme right away.

= Custom Menus 

Catch Adaptive theme supports one custom menus that is primary menu.
To create a custom menu, go to Appearance -> Menus in your dashboard.

= Featured Image =

This theme relies heavily on Featured Images. If your post/page is missing a Featured Image, the post image will not show up on homepage, on archived pages and on Featured Page Slider, Featured Post Slider and Featured Category Slider. If you are migrating your old site to this new them then you need to regenerate thumbnails. You can do that easily with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/. This plugin allows you to regenerate your thumbnails after changing the thumbnail sizes, which occurs by switching from one theme to another.

= Featured Slider =

In Catch Adaptive theme, there is option to select slider type from Featured Page Slider, Featured Post Slider, Featured Category Slider and Featured Image slider.

To add featured image slider, 
1. Go to "Appearance -> Customize -> Featured Slider Options" from your WordPress Dashboard
3. Under Featured Slider Type, you need to select "Featured Image Slider"
4. Then you can change the number of slides, upload images, add in links, title, content as per your need
4. Finally, click on "Save & Publish"

To add featured page slider, 
1. Create a Page and then add Featured Image to the Page.
2. Go to "Appearance -> Customize -> Featured Slider Options" from your WordPress Dashboard
3. Under Featured Slider Type, you need to select "Featured Page Slider"
4. Then you can change the number of slides and select your pages in "Featured Page #"
4. Finally, click on "Save & Publish"

To add featured post slider, 
1. Create a Post and then add Featured Image to the Post.
2. Go to "Appearance -> Customize -> Featured Slider Options" from your WordPress Dashboard
3. Under Featured Slider Type, you need to select "Featured Post Slider"
4. Then you can change the number of slides and add in Post ID in "Featured Post #"
4. Finally, click on "Save & Publish"

To add featured category slider, 
1. Create a Post and then add Featured Image to the Post.
2. Go to "Appearance -> Customize -> Featured Slider Options" from your WordPress Dashboard
3. Under Featured Slider Type, you need to select "Featured Category Slider"
4. Then you can change the number of slides and select categories in "Select Categories"
4. Finally, click on "Save & Publish"

Note: You can also change Enable Slider, slider effects, delay and length under Featured Slider Settings.

= Social Icons =

Catch Adaptive has social icons for various social networking sites. 
1. Go to "Appearance -> Customize -> Social Links" form your WordPress Dashboard
2. Add in your social profile links and click on "Save & Publish" 

Note: By default social links will be added in Header Right Section. You can also add that in your sidebar from "Appearance -> Widgets"
