## Requirements

- WordPress 6.0+
- PHP 7.4+
- MySQL 5.6+ or MariaDB

## Installation

1. Upload the `chrysoberyl` folder to `/wp-content/themes/`
2. Activate the theme via **Appearance → Themes**
3. Configure options under **Chrysoberyl → Theme Settings**
4. (Optional) Import demo data via **Chrysoberyl → Import Demo Data**

## Demo Data Import

The theme includes a demo data importer to quickly set up your site:

1. Go to **Chrysoberyl → Import Demo Data** in WordPress admin
2. Select what to import: Categories, Posts, Pages, or Menus
3. Click **Import** to add sample content

**Note:** Demo posts include a source link to twiik.co. You can edit or remove these after import.

## Rank Math HTML Sitemap

The theme includes a custom template for Rank Math HTML sitemap:

1. Create a page for your sitemap
2. Set **Page Attributes → Template** to **RankMath**
3. Configure in **Rank Math SEO → Sitemap Settings → HTML Sitemap**

## Translation

- Text domain: `chrysoberyl`
- English translations: `languages/chrysoberyl-en_US.po`
- Set **Settings → General → Site Language** to English (United States) to use English

To add or update translations, edit the `.po` file and compile to `.mo` using Poedit or similar tools.
