A lightweight storefront theme with its own blog/page templates, built to pair with the free "COD Order Manager" plugin.

== Description ==

COD Storefront is a general-purpose theme - it works on its own for any ordinary blog or page-based site, with proper single-post/page templates, threaded comments, tags, a footer widget area, and standard post formatting (captions, galleries, alignment). No plugin is required for any of that.

When the free "COD Order Manager" plugin (sjrubel-cod-order-manager) is also active, the theme adds a homepage hero banner (configurable under Appearance > Customize > Hero Header - logo, background image or gradient, title, subtitle, and a call-to-action button), a filterable product catalog archive, and a clean single-product layout that lets the plugin render its own product gallery and Buy Now box.

== Installation ==

1. In your WordPress admin, go to Appearance > Themes > Add New and search for "COD Storefront", or upload the theme .zip via Appearance > Themes > Add New > Upload Theme.
2. Activate the theme.
3. Go to Appearance > Customize > Hero Header to set up the homepage banner (optional).
4. Optional: install the free "COD Order Manager" plugin to unlock the product catalog templates and the homepage hero banner's product grid.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does this theme require a plugin to work? =

No. Every template (single posts, pages, the blog index, comments) works as a complete, ordinary WordPress theme on its own. The product-catalog-specific templates and the homepage hero banner's product grid only apply once the free "COD Order Manager" plugin is also active - the rest of the theme functions normally either way.

= Where do I configure the homepage banner? =

Appearance > Customize > Hero Header. You can set a logo, a background image or gradient colors, the title/subtitle text, the button, and colors/font sizes, all with a live preview.

= Does this theme support widgets? =

Yes - a single "Footer" widget area, registered under Appearance > Widgets.
