How to setup CustomFolio
=================================

1. Create a page called 'home' and choose either 'Showcase Page' template or 'Showcase Page Alternative' template. 

2. Create a page called 'blog.'

3. Go into your Settings > Reading and select: 'a static page' and choose your created 'home' page as your front page and 'blog' as your posts page.

4. Homepage slider is determined if a post is a 'sticky' and has a featured image.

5. If your using the 'showcase' page template, to add posts under the slider, you'll need to do the following: you’ll need to select a primary category for posts to show under the slider. To do this, you’ll need to be in your WordPress dashboard. From there, go to appearance > theme options. Then select your ‘Primary Featured Category’. To feature additional categories, go to Posts > Categories and assign your primary category as the “Category parent” of each additional category you wish to feature.

6. If you are using the 'Showcase Page Alternative' page template, this page template displays the latest 4 posts except for sticky posts. 

7. To create a portfolio page, create a page called 'portfolio' and choose 'Portfolio Template' as your page template. Posts that have a featured image and use either the 'image, gallery, or video' post format will show up on your portfolio page.
